Kadappa (2)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb Beans
  • 1/2 lb Carrot
  • 1/2 lb Peas
  • 1/2lb Potato
  • 6 Tablespoon of Moongdal
  • 7 to 8 Greenchillies
  • Little Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 Tablespoon Oil

For Seasoning:

  • Mustard seeds
  • Uraddal
  • Jeera Seeds

For Grinding:

  • 2 Tablespoon of  Split Peas dal or roasted gram
  • 2 Tablespoon of Coconut powder
  • 1 to 2 Green Chillies
  • 1/2 inch Ginger

     

Procedure:

  1. Cook Moongdal in a cooker and in a pan pour oil, add mustard seeds and let it splutter and add uradhdal, jeeraseeds  to it.
  2. Add finely chopped onions and sauté till brown and add then tomatoes.
  3. Add beans, carrot, peas, potato and cook it till done.
  4. Add cooked moongdal, turmeric powder, salt.
  5. Grind the grinded paste and add sambar powder to it.
  6. Allow it to boil for 5  to 7 minutes.

Note:

  • It taste good with chapathi.
