Yam or Suran or Senaikazhungu Roast

Ingredients:

  • 1lb of  Yam
  • 3 Tablespoon of  RedChilli
  • 2 Teaspoon of TurmericPowder
  • Small Pinch of Asafoetida
  • Salt as needed
  • 5 Tablespoon of Oil

Procedure:

  1. First fresh Yam, cut in to very small pieces, and then wash it thoroughly so that to remove the sand in it.
  2. Take a Pan, heat it, Pour Enough Oil.
  3. Put the Yam in to the Oil and add turmeric powder, redchilli powder, asafoetida and salt.
  4. Keep it in a low flame so that it  gets heated at a constant temperature.
  5. Cook till it is fully done and let it get  roasted.

Note:

  • Serve hot with Sambar or Rasam
